Head of Litigation
I was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in May 2023. I hold a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong. I lead the litigation department at Bransgroves Lawyers and am responsible for all matters where a defence is filed. My focus is commercial, results-driven defence work for commercial lenders — coordinating strategy, pleadings and counsel so contested matters stay on a clear commercial path.
Before joining Bransgroves, I practised in commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring at a boutique Sydney firm. That work spanned complex disputes involving directors’ duties, shareholder and trust claims, regulatory proceedings and formal insolvency appointments. That background gives me a practical edge when a mortgage matter turns contested. I value clear advice, tight process, and mentoring junior lawyers so our clients get responsive, high-quality representation when disputes arise.
Although we are in court with the mortgagor we are always ready to collaborate in any way possible to achieve a win-win. Our philosophy is to avoid racking up costs which are ultimately paid by the borrower. Accordingly we avoid letter on letterhead (when a half line email will suffice), appointing receivers, barrister conferences, interlocutory skirmishes, requests for particulars and all other fee generating add ons that do little to nothing to achieve the result.
