# Step 13 – Settlement

Process › Enforcement Process › Step 13 – Settlement

Six weeks after contracts are exchanged we will attend to settlement through PEXA and your capital and interest arrears will be returned to you. The costs of selling the property and our legal costs are also paid from the sale proceeds. Any surplus left over is returned to the borrower.
